The initial beat rate is 10.5Hz (light, non-focussed relaxation) gradualy falling to 6.0Hz (dreaming, or REM sleep) and then down to 2.50Hz (delta, the brainwave frequency of deep sleep) where it holds for the duration.

The background sound is taken from our rain soundscape, itself very relaxing and helpful in blocking out any distracting sounds. A background of pink noise (like falling rain) also increases the efficacy of the binaural beat.
